Model Aircraft for Aerodrome®
1.1 - 1/144th Scale Models
Aerodrome® 1.1 is a ruleset that can be played in any scale.
It is most often played with 1/72nd scale models, but as long as the model aircraft used for a game are of similar scale,
other scales will work as well. Aircraft models in 1/144th scale can be used in conjunction with the Aerodrome® full-sized playing mat,
using either 5" or 2.5" hex-based Flightstands; used with 2.5" hex-based Flightstands, models in this scale

This page is intended to
be a guide to what types of model aircraft may be available in 1/144th scale and where they can be obtained. Availability
of aircraft models in other scales is discussed in other pages, accessible through the Navigation Bar at the left.
Wings of War 1/144th Scale Aircraft Models
Plastic 1/144th scale model World War I aircraft that are fully assembled and painted
are produced by Fantasy Flight Games for use with their WW1 air combat game, Wings of War. However, these models work perfectly
for Aerodrome® 1.1 when used with Aerodrome® Flightstands; all that a model needs is to have a magnet glued to its bottom that will allow it to be attached to
the (magnet-topped) Flightstand. These are aircraft models that are supplied with the Aerodrome® 1.1 Complete Set, and they are available at a discount from the suggested retail
price as per the list below.

Individual models are not supplied with the rare earth magnets needed to attach them
to Aerodrome®
Flightstands; magnets must be ordered separately:
Rare earth magnets: 10 (5 pair): 5mm (0.2”) – $5.00; 1/8”
inch (0.125”) – $5.00; 1/4” inch (0.25”) – $5.00
These models can also be used for play with Fantasy Flight Games’ Wings of
War rules.
